Casper Mosley started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Algarrobo's Alvino Chacaltana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bill Mcinnis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute Casper Mosley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvino Anania saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ren Venz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Alvino Anania made a huge save. In the 16th match minute, Algarrobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Arechavala to maneuver through the defense. Jaume Charlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Alvino Chacaltana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st match minute, Adelaide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Loch to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Adelaide's zone, Osvaldo Arechavala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Mcinnis came out of the goal and Osvaldo Arechavala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Algarrobo got a freekick which was hit by Alvino Chacaltana.

Alvino Chacaltana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Algarrobo's Alvino Chacaltana in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Adelaide's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Alvino Chacaltana put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bill Mcinnis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaume Charlin got free with Bill Mcinnis in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute of the match Algarrobo got a corner. Adelaide's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osvaldo Arechavala ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Alvino Chacaltana heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 84th minute, Jaume Charlin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 85 minutes, Casper Mosley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adelaide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casper Mosley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Algarrobo getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. José Alejandro Daire hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Bill Mcinnis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Adelaide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dani Willison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Algarrobo's Osvaldo Arechavala couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Adelaide. Jaume Charlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Bill Mcinnis made a huge save. Algarrobo played a much better game than Adelaide and deserved their victory. The Adelaide players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
