When Luis Veto fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored All Boys's protests and gave Luis Veto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mitnarotov FC booed when All Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Veto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Mitnarotov FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Vianna. A hard shot 30 in the game by Aquiles Oxel from a close distance when the talented Décio Pinto managed to make a qualified save. Mitnarotov FC's players were relieved. Frédson Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Montay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The All Boys fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when All Boys's Aquiles Oxel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of All Boys booed when Mitnarotov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frédson Carneiro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Conrado Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mitnarotov FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Montay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Mitnarotov FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

All Boys's Mauro Montay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save All Boys from getting a goal against them. Mauro Montay was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Fred Luz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fred Luz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Mauro Montay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conrado Gaúcho in the 60th minute. All Boys made a substitution. Aquiles Orlin replaced Francisco Iztal. After 70 minutes, Teodosio Viator mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the All Boys and the Mitnarotov FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, All Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Viator to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes All Boys got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Viator.
