Vachon Camaño made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ceferino Oihenarte sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute Gilmar Cuadrillero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Lohitzun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Jaizki Colina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Bartoleme Ceja. When Niceto Abajas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the A.A FÊNIX fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Abajas couldn't finish the play. If Remigio Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nardo Tuo in the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Piearres Somiedo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Lohitzun saved A.A FÊNIX from getting behind. A collision led to Sporting Buceo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gilmar Cuadrillero hit a great ball. Sporting Buceo's Vachon Camaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Haimar in the 33rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, A.A FÊNIX's goal looked a bit too open when Nardo Tuo came free, but Silvano Lohitzun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ceferino Oihenarte was the one to do the kick off. Silvano Lohitzun made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Jaizki Colina sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, A.A FÊNIX's Eriberto Sengrat got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Cuadrillero in the 54th minute of play forced A.A FÊNIX's goalkeeper Silvano Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Sporting Buceo's Jaizki Colina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvano Lohitzun was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, A.A FÊNIX's Silvano Lohitzun got control of the ball when Gilmar Cuadrillero tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, A.A FÊNIX's Ceferino Oihenarte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vachon Camaño was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Piearres Somiedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvano Lohitzun, 1-2. Silvano Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nardo Tuo in the 84th minute of the match. A.A FÊNIX's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Piearres Somiedo scored to the left of an out of position Silvano Lohitzun, making the score, 1-3. In the 90th minute, Jaizki Colina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvano Lohitzun made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Jaizki Colina sent off a good shot on target. A.A FÊNIX's Silvano Lohitzun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save A.A FÊNIX from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Sporting Buceo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A.A FÊNIX throughout the match.
