The supporters of Gavião Kyikatejê booed when LA LUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Urritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Emmanuel. The audience was convinced that Flavio Galo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Gilespie was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Didi Zabala ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Gilespie was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hugo Carballo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After 22 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Igor Luzea. 26 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Frantzes came free, but Max Gilespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dean McAusland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Hugo Carballo made a huge save. In the 44th minute Terry McAngus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Carballo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Didi Zabala came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the LA LUZ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Zabala couldn't finish the play. LA LUZ F.C.'s Eulalio Veronica was substituted for Flavio Galo. LA LUZ F.C.'s Feliciano Ignado was substituted for Maximo Beltxe. LA LUZ F.C.'s Maximino Berart was substituted for Didi Zabala.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dean McAusland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Colin Booth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Gilespie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eulalio Veronica in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in LA LUZ F.C.'s zone, Dean McAusland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Carballo came out of the goal and Dean McAusland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dean McAusland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Carballo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Downie in the 68th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Veronica came free, but Max Gilespie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Eulalio Veronica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gavião Kyikatejê's Max Gilespie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dean McAusland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Carballo having to make a save. Maximino Berart hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Maximino Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Gilespie having to interfere. Robin Laidlaw kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. LA LUZ F.C.'s Emanuel Cresconio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Max Gilespie but with some difficulty. Quentin Pitullich's late challenge caught a LA LUZ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quentin Pitullich helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gavião Kyikatejê's Quentin Pitullich got a free kick in the 95th minute.
