In the 17th minute Ulryk Fedosz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwidon Kasperowicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gwidon Kasperowicz ran back to his position shaking his head. Vitinho Trancoso took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kazimierz Spychalski. Kazimierz Spychalski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Esteves in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Baltazar Meireles got a free kick in the 81st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Podklasztor SA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
