The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Erling Westerstrand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vágner Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erling Westerstrand went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Palmeira in the 27th minute of play forced Frölundaboys's goalkeeper Staffan Björklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Maragassume AD - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Vale. In the 42nd match minute, Maragassume AD - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Frölundaboys were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filiph Kullander was the one to do the kick off. Enio Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Björklund having to interfere. Vágner Silva was a little too slow when Erling Westerstrand got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-4. Celso Almeida's late challenge caught a Frölundaboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Celso Almeida got a free kick in the 75th minute. Johannes Elg, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goalkeeper Vágner Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erling Westerstrand. A collision led to Maragassume AD - CIMZ getting a freekick after 78 minutes play.
