Renato Abufom started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Luan Toro's zone, Renato Abufom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Arias came out of the goal and Renato Abufom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Muhammad Ali left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Luan Toro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Xpertin's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Gerazan came free, but Luís Gajardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefano Avendaño hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Adalberto Mercado's late challenge caught a Sportivo Luan Toro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Mercado helped the player get up and apologised. Sportivo Luan Toro made a substitution. Erubiel Laurin replaced Muhammad Ali. Adalberto Mercado kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes Sportivo Luan Toro got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Eztebe. In the 28th minute, Erubiel Laurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Xpertin's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Laurin came free, but Luís Gajardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Laurin struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Luís Gajardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Luan Toro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Gerazan in the 39th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Xpertin's goalkeeper Luís Gajardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gajardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Laurin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefano Avendaño hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sportivo Luan Toro getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lino Gerazan hit a great ball. The supporters of Club Deportivo Xpertin booed when Sportivo Luan Toro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Valiente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Gerazan made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Florencio Pastene mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Xpertin and the Sportivo Luan Toro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lino Gerazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Gajardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Club Deportivo Xpertin got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Pastene. In the 64th minute, Erubiel Laurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Erubiel Laurin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Gajardo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 66th match minute, Sportivo Luan Toro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Gerazan to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Domingo Valiente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute of the match, Erubiel Laurin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luís Gajardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gabriel Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Manuel Gajardo in the 84th minute of play. Erubiel Laurin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Gajardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Laurin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefano Avendaño hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes, Sportivo Luan Toro's Omar Catalán shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Gajardo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sportivo Luan Toro reached it. Club Deportivo Xpertin's Luís Gajardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Laurin in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Lino Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sportivo Luan Toro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
