The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Artur Rego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Angrense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Rego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute, Daniel Regalado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melchor Acuña was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Geronimo Lando struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Isac Gusmão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durazno FC. Isac Gusmão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Gotzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Angrense's Artur Rego got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Tomás Abrantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Loureiro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Geronimo Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durazno FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Lando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Artur Rego who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Durazno FC's Melchor Acuña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Artur Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Loureiro hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Geronimo Lando scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isac Gusmão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Regalado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Melchor Acuña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Artur Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Tomás Abrantes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Angrense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Carmelo Lehen charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Lehen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Durazno FC's zone, Artur Rego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Acuña came out of the goal and Artur Rego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Geronimo Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geronimo Lando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isac Gusmão having to make a save. SC Angrense's Isac Gusmão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save SC Angrense from getting a goal against them. Erubiel Malvin charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Malvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Durazno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Malvin to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Hugo Francis in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Angrense's Tomás Abrantes. 69 minutes into the match, SC Angrense's goalkeeper Isac Gusmão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Gotzon. Daniel Regalado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Acuña having to interfere. 76 minutes in the game, Sebastian Gotzon dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Artur Rego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Ofelio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isac Gusmão. That made the score 2-2 in the 85 minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, SC Angrense's Artur Rego nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Acuña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
