Monkey D.Luffy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Gouveia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The SC Angrense fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when SC Angrense's Paulo Gouveia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Demetrio Giampieri fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monkey D.Luffy's protests and gave Demetrio Giampieri a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Monkey D.Luffy got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Giampieri. SC Angrense's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Demetrio Giampieri 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After 17 played minutes SC Angrense got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Loureiro. Aldo Marulli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Gouveia in the 23rd minute of play. Aldo Marulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Gouveia in the 27th minute of the match. Ciro Grieco charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Grieco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciro Grieco hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Andrea De Angelis fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monkey D.Luffy's protests and gave Andrea De Angelis a yellow card for diving instead. SC Angrense made a substitution. Gabriel Zambujal replaced Paulino Teles. After a rather tough play, Monkey D.Luffy's Andrea De Angelis got a free kick in the 34th minute. Aldo Marulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Regalado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Isac Gusmão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Papetti in the 39th minute. Aldo Marulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Regalado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demetrio Giampieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Demetrio Giampieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monkey D.Luffy's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Giampieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Gusmão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arturo Papetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Paulo Gouveia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aldo Marulli. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 69th minute, Paulo Gouveia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Marulli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Monkey D.Luffy's Andrea De Angelis got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Andrea De Angelis off the ground. If Daniel Regalado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Demetrio Giampieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute of the match, Paulo Gouveia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aldo Marulli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arturo Papetti kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Gouveia got free with Aldo Marulli in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Monkey D.Luffy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Angrense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
