In the 9th minute, Fanis Kokkinopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 11 in the game by Isidro Gomez from a close distance when the talented Ntinos Vlasakis managed to make a qualified save. ΟΦΗ's players were relieved. In the 13th minute, Leo Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, Aves Negras's Leo Lawrence dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Nikos Kalkavouras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Giannis Tzanetos hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, ΟΦΗ's Michalis Semos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Abar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Giannis Tzanetos scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Abar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Rodrigo Espiridion got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes, ΟΦΗ's Sofoklis Stathatos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denis Abar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ΟΦΗ reached it. Aves Negras's Isidro Gomez got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 39 played minutes ΟΦΗ got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Semos. Ntinos Vlasakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidro Gomez in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Isidro Gomez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The Aves Negras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ΟΦΗ were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidro Gomez was the one to do the kick off. Giannis Tzanetos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Denis Abar made a huge save. After having played for 57 minutes, Leo Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Lawrence was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 played minutes ΟΦΗ got a freekick which was hit by Ilias Lazanas. Ntinos Vlasakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Gomez in the 65th minute of play. Ntinos Vlasakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Lawrence in the 66th minute of the match. Leo Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ntinos Vlasakis having to interfere. Michalis Semos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Leo Lawrence got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Cresenciano. Giannis Tzanetos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denis Abar came out and tried to block the shot, but Giannis Tzanetos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 83rd minute. Diego Artal struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ntinos Vlasakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aves Negras. When the final whistle sounded ΟΦΗ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aves Negras.
