Hilario Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Dantas in the 14th minute of the match. Norberto Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hilario Ramos made a huge save. Micky Capusotto took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Vaz. Tomás Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee ignored Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's protests and gave Godfredo Montel a yellow card for diving instead. AA GUARULHOS made a substitution. Joélson Vidal replaced Carlinhos Rossi. In the 31st minute, Godfredo Montel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rdth minute of the game Micky Capusotto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AA GUARULHOS's Tomás Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
