In the 9th minute, Jeff Burkinshaw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Elizabeth Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jeff Burkinshaw hit a great ball. Marlene Dietrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Burkinshaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, SILMONT's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Knowles came free, but Marlene Dietrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marlene Dietrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Knowles, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Elizabeth Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Flintoff to maneuver through the defense. Jean-Christophe Eveno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Max Washington. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Elizabeth Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alan Butler hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, CJ Shephard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marlene Dietrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Knowles in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kev Bryant in the 35th minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Marlene Dietrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SILMONT getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Brendan Cardot hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Jeff Burkinshaw ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marlene Dietrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Bart Falempin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SILMONT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Falempin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Axel Rouge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Jeff Burkinshaw made a precise shot to the right of Marlene Dietrich. SILMONT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeff Burkinshaw was the one to do the kick off. Albert Knowless short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Marlene Dietrich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. SILMONT's Marlene Dietrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Burkinshaw in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Bart Falempin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Brendan Cardot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Max Washington. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brendan Cardot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 66 played minutes Elizabeth Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Whitmore. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind SILMONT's goalkeeper Marlene Dietrich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Elizabeth Three Lions FC booed when SILMONT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles-Henri Renaudin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Knowles got free with Marlene Dietrich in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SILMONT's Marlene Dietrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Burkinshaw in the 72nd minute of play. Jeff Burkinshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Burkinshaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Elizabeth Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Burkinshaw to maneuver through the defense. If Silvester Shaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Burkinshaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marlene Dietrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CJ Shephard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silvester Shaw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marlene Dietrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean-Christophe Eveno kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Elizabeth Three Lions FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SILMONT throughout the match.
