To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s goal looked a bit too open when Jesualdo Silveira came free, but Eloy Idacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Adelino Belo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hiperbórea's protests and gave Adelino Belo a yellow card for diving instead. When Tom Misaki came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Misaki couldn't finish the play. Eloy Idacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesualdo Silveira in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Tom Misaki got a free kick in the 18th minute. Hiperbórea's Jesualdo Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Eloy Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesualdo Silveira in the 24th minute of play. If Jesualdo Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Raul Porfirio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Damião Sá. The goal made the score 1-0. Ubaldo Santikurtz charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Santikurtz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ubaldo Santikurtz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Filinto Caldeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hiperbórea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ the free kick. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ made a substitution. German Lohitzun replaced Damaso Sancho. Filinto Caldeira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Tom Misaki's late challenge caught a Hiperbórea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tom Misaki helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesualdo Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ubaldo Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute, Tom Misaki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Andi Johnson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesualdo Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
