Cem Bauer charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cem Bauer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Vorwärts Lübeck got a freekick which was hit by Cem Bauer. Kai Hilljegerdes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cem Bauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Arthur Rademacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Di Martino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when DJK Füchtel Vechta's Arthur Rademacher fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Steffen Kracht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Folke Vielmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Antonello Di Martino made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Vorwärts Lübeck's Alexander Schaf got a free kick in the 25th minute. Arthur Rademacher struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Antonello Di Martino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DJK Füchtel Vechta. In the 29th minute of the match, Folke Vielmann got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonello Di Martino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Antonello Di Martino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 38 played minutes DJK Füchtel Vechta got a freekick which was hit by Rurik Atan. In the 39th minute Waldemar Scheuch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Hilljegerdes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Vielmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonello Di Martino having to interfere. Folke Vielmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Antonello Di Martino made a huge save. After 46 minutes of play, DJK Füchtel Vechta's Folke Vielmann made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonello Di Martino was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Folke Vielmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. DJK Füchtel Vechta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vorwärts Lübeck the free kick. Kai Hilljegerdes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Scheuch in the 80th minute of play. Arthur Rademacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Di Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Rademacher in the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Folke Vielmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. DJK Füchtel Vechta's supporters rose to their feet, but Folke Vielmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello Di Martino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Kai Hilljegerdes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Nittel in the 93rd minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
