Juan Bittencourt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Richard Breckenfeld when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Richard Breckenfeld was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernani de Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elói Branco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horácio Tasso was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When Quebra Ossos FC's Elói Branco in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Bittencourt got free with Richard Breckenfeld in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Quebra Ossos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Martins came free, but Richard Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betão Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. AVAÍ F.C.'s Vitório Prado was substituted for Oswaldo Recife. A collision led to Quebra Ossos FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Betão Marinho hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elói Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elói Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. Richard Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani de Mendonça in the 56th minute of play. Luisinho Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Ernani de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 63 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo de Lima. In the 64th minute, Juan Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. Quebra Ossos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When Elói Branco fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebra Ossos FC's protests and gave Elói Branco a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Branco. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Ernani de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Ernani de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After 80 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo de Lima. Leopoldo Toscano hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Quebra Ossos FC defense, Juan Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. The Quebra Ossos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Breckenfeld should have stopped the shot. AVAÍ F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Quebra Ossos FC for a fine match.
