The audience was convinced that Moreno Conti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amancio Urtats was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Itzaina during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, one of El Retorno de Palermo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Retorno de Palermo. Amancio Urtats had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Angel Boveda's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Amancio Urtats came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ornopata's Angel Boveda. But to his dismay, Angel Boveda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calderón Barron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segio Orbe in the 33rd minute of the match. Amancio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moreno Conti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Retorno de Palermo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Ulises Olaechea scored to the left of an out of position Amancio Urtats, making the score, 2-0. Ismael Musko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vasco Tu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Musko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ornopata's zone, Celestino Nataniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Tu came out of the goal and Celestino Nataniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ornopata's Moreno Conti in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Retorno de Palermo's goalie prevented a goal. After 55 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Musko. Vasco Tu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Anaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ornopata's López Espriu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Anaya in the 64th minute of play forced Ornopata's goalkeeper Vasco Tu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Boveda was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Villalambrus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ornopata's supporters rose to their feet, but Moreno Conti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amancio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moreno Conti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Olaechea in the 88th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, one of Ornopata:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Vasco Tu went to the wrong direction when Cornelio Itzaina was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ornopata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
