Baldomero Florinio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, José Paulo Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Baldomero Florinio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomero Florinio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Paulo Ferraz went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Super Chechona FC's Baldomero Florinio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Cearense in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Paulo Ferraz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Florinio saved Super Chechona FC from getting behind. Baldomero Florinio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jeronimo Bastian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Club Athletico Paulistano booed when Super Chechona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Quintal in the 44th minute of play forced Super Chechona FC's goalkeeper Baldomero Florinio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Super Chechona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Quintal came free, but Baldomero Florinio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Paulo Ferraz made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Club Athletico Paulistano's José Paulo Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 67th minute, Club Athletico Paulistano's Oséas Quintal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomero Florinio. Baldomero Florinio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. José Paulo Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Florinio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Ferraz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Lino Jerrald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Fabrício de Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Florinio skillfully saved the ball. José Paulo Ferraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Baldomero Florinio made a huge save. Baldomero Florinio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Quintal in the 76th minute of the match. Abelardo Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Super Chechona FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Sebastian Figueroa hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, José Paulo Ferraz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baldomero Florinio. The goal made the score 1-6. Club Athletico Paulistano's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
