After 24 played minutes Wedd FF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Löfkvist. Wedd FF's Bengt-Arne Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Silva in the 32nd minute of play. Bengt-Arne Dahlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu Silva in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Arne Dahlgren saved Wedd FF from getting behind. Bengt-Arne Dahlgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Paulo Salles's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Wedd FF's Boris Mellberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. Gugu Silva scored 0-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Arne Dahlgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Wedd FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Bergfelt was the one to do the kick off. Boris Mellberg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Wedd FF booed when Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position.
