Jeffery Vanooteghem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Lock in the 20th minute of play. Julius Loremans kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Valencia C.F.'s Darryl Hepburn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeffery Vanooteghem. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. When Arnout Dauwe fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Wolfpack™'s protests and gave Arnout Dauwe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Valencia C.F. booed when The Wolfpack™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnout Dauwe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. Jeffery Vanooteghem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Kennedy, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Darryl Hepburn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Hepburn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitch Lock might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeffery Vanooteghem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mitch Lock ran back to his position shaking his head.

Valencia C.F.'s Greg Deveraux was substituted for Mitch Lock. The wind increased when Darryl Hepburn made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darryl Hepburn in the 53rd minute of play forced The Wolfpack™'s goalkeeper Jeffery Vanooteghem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 70 minutes on the clock, Arnout Dauwe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of The Wolfpack™:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valencia C.F.:s goal. The Wolfpack™:s Jeffery Vanooteghem showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Lilley:s penalty. In the 71st minute, Daniel Lilley made a precise shot to the right of Jeffery Vanooteghem. The Wolfpack™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jeffery Vanooteghem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Hepburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Greg Deveraux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lee Kennedy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Deveraux in the 88th minute of play forced The Wolfpack™'s goalkeeper Jeffery Vanooteghem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, The Wolfpack™'s goal looked a bit too open when Greg Deveraux came free, but Jeffery Vanooteghem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes The Wolfpack™ got a freekick which was hit by Mudschahid Carabajal. Jeffery Vanooteghem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Hepburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Darryl Hepburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffery Vanooteghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Wolfpack™'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
