The coaching staff of FC TraLaLa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcu Tărbac had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Mellbystrand IK. George Barck stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sever Piţurcă. 1-0. Sever Piţurcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Mellbystrand IK's Sven-Edvin Skräddare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Pușcariu in the 13th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Mellbystrand IK got a freekick which was hit by Isak Klack. Sven-Edvin Skräddare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Cismaș in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Pușcariu in the 48th minute of play forced Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when FC TraLaLa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Cismaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Skräddare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sever Piţurcă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elof Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Pușcariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Edvin Skräddare having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Emanuel Pușcariu took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Sven-Edvin Skräddare to make any attempt to save it. Arne Linberg's late challenge caught a FC TraLaLa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Linberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Mellbystrand IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Linberg to maneuver through the defense. FC TraLaLa's Leontin Medrea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mellbystrand IK. Octav Cismaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Mellbystrand IK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
