The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Allan dos Santos scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vili Salo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Allan dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the game, Xanda FC's Giuseppe Loureiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vili Salo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 16 minutes into the game, Jorginho Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Vili Salo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Galand FC's Olli-Pekka Grönvall got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Vili Salo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Loureiro in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Xanda FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Alves. After a defensive mix-up in Galand FC's zone, Roger Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vili Salo came out of the goal and Roger Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Teles took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vili Salo. Vili Salo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Galand FC's Vili Salo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Alves in the 43rd minute of play. Pedrão Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olli-Pekka Grönvall in the 46th minute of the match. Yrjö Nylund took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedrão Coutinho. Pedrão Coutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yrjö Nylund made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Olli-Pekka Grönvall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galand FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xanda FC the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Galand FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olli-Pekka Grönvall to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adhemar Quintal during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Galand FC booed when Xanda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yrjö Nylund in the 59th minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Pedrão Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vili Salo was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Jorginho Alves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorginho Alves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Galand FC's Vili Salo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Teles in the 64th minute of play. José Carlos Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vili Salo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vili Salo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, José Carlos Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vili Salo. Galand FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giuseppe Loureiro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vili Salo saved Galand FC from getting behind. Galand FC's Vili Salo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Loureiro in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Galand FC got a freekick which was hit by Santeri Peltola. After a defensive mix-up in Galand FC's zone, José Carlos Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vili Salo came out of the goal and José Carlos Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vili Salo made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Giuseppe Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. Kaapo Luhtimaa struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Pedrão Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galand FC. When the match was over Xanda FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galand FC throughout the match.
