The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Oscar Pereira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร from getting a goal against them. Miraflores's Leonardo Firmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Linares in the 10th minute of play. Conrado Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Firmin having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Miraflores got a freekick which was hit by Federico Poncio. After a rather tough play, Miraflores's Mariano Sidro got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Miraflores's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Linares came free, but Leonardo Firmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Bernardinho Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Firmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Oscar Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Sidro. Santo Hibai hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Vânderson Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astor Berbiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Oscar Pereira made a huge save. In the 40th minute, Geraldo Linares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Oscar Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Pereira was a little too slow when Astor Berbiz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Linares to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Miraflores's Astor Berbiz got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute Astor Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Firmin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Linares in the 63rd minute. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Geraldo Linares sped through Miraflores's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Firmin. Oscar Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Poncio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Vânderson Teles hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Danilo Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Vânderson Teles fired a really elegant long shot, but Leonardo Firmin threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The supporters of Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร booed when Miraflores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Vânderson Teles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Firmin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
