Álmos Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Maciel in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Montalcino SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ákos Szalontai took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abel de Medeiros. Montalcino SE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Szajk LC's Adrián Vámosi got a free kick in the 11th minute. Luís Guilherme de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Ákos Szalontai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. István Tulipán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abel de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natanael de Almeida got free with Álmos Simon in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme de Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montalcino SE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szajk LC the free kick. A collision led to Montalcino SE getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Luís Guilherme de Lara hit a great ball. Tibor Lantos charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tibor Lantos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Szajk LC's Álmos Simon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Barreto in the 27th minute of play. Szajk LC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Haroldo Maciel scored to the left of an out of position Álmos Simon, making the score, 1-0. Abel de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from István Tulipán in the 32nd minute of play. Adriano Nóbrega's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Álmos Simon firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, Montalcino SE's Álmos Simon threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Haroldo Maciel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 40 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Barreto. Abel de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brúnó Jánosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Haroldo Maciel's late challenge caught a Szajk LC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Maciel to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Ronaldo Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute Rubinho Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álmos Simon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Szajk LC's Álmos Simon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Silva in the 56th minute of play. Haroldo Maciel took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Álmos Simon. Álmos Simon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 72 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Maciel came free, but Álmos Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Montalcino SE's Abel de Medeiros got control of the ball when István Tulipán tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Haroldo Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Nóbrega. Abel de Medeiros didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Montalcino SE had played much better football throughout.
