The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Mascire got free with Gaber Furlan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in HIT Gorica's zone, Mede Torriba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaber Furlan came out of the goal and Mede Torriba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes HIT Gorica got a freekick which was hit by Željko Kapun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Mascire in the 39th minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Gaber Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. HIT Gorica's Gaber Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save HIT Gorica from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Ćurčija to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteve Villajane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. HIT Gorica's Gaber Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Mascire in the 52nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Muharem Razdevšek put in a rough tackle. In the 51st minute, one of HIT Gorica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for HIT Gorica. After some careless play in the HIT Gorica defense, Esteve Villajane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaber Furlan. The HIT Gorica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaber Furlan should have stopped the shot. Gaber Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Mascire, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sefedin Lož to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Mascire in the 77th minute of play forced HIT Gorica's goalkeeper Gaber Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Spor Las Huevas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
