After a rather tough play, Hungarian Olympic's Krisztián Radnai got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hungarian Olympic's Gergely Asztalos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Hungarian Olympic from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. László Nemes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Angel Etxeberri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, János Dala notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri. Angel Etxeberri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Gau during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Gau. In the 32nd minute, Máté Berta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Etxeberri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when János Dala came free, but Angel Etxeberri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Martxot took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gergely Asztalos. Gergely Asztalos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Martxot in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gergely Asztalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when János Dala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hungarian Olympic booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Basso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academia FC's Angel Etxeberri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Dala in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Jorge Martxot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Martxot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungarian Olympic's Máté Berta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angel Etxeberri. That made the score 1-4 after 74 minutes of play. Angel Etxeberri made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when János Dala sent off a good shot on target. Federico Nicholas's late challenge caught a Hungarian Olympic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Nicholas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Federico Nicholas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. László Müller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Angel Etxeberri made a huge save. In the 93rd match minute, Hungarian Olympic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by György Király to maneuver through the defense. The Academia FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungarian Olympic were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
