Per-Olof Bengtsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 冯烨亮 in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Karl-Johan Öberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VfL Wolfsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dream Fantasy FC the free kick. The supporters of Dream Fantasy FC booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Öberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Malcolm Morat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 冯烨亮 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per-Olof Bengtsson having to make a save. VfL Wolfsburg's Per-Olof Bengtsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 冯烨亮 in the 32nd minute of play. When 冯帆广 fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dream Fantasy FC's protests and gave 冯帆广 a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dream Fantasy FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Björn Gunnarsson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 吕星皓. 吕星皓 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 39th minute, 柳正云 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Björn Gunnarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Johan Öberg. 冯烨亮 might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Olof Bengtsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 冯烨亮 ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl-Johan Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 吕星皓 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Erik Dalman in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Morat in the 61st minute of play forced Dream Fantasy FC's goalkeeper 吕星皓 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Per-Olof Bengtsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Per-Olof Bengtsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 柳正云. The crowd rose to their feet as 冯烨亮 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Per-Olof Bengtsson. That made the score 1-1 in the 75 minute of play. When 冯烨亮 came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Dream Fantasy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 冯烨亮 couldn't finish the play. 冯帆广 lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dream Fantasy FC! In the 84th minute there was a penalty for VfL Wolfsburg. Björn Gunnarsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving 吕星皓. 2-1. In the 86th minute, Sven-Erik Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If 柳正云 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 贺义升 struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Per-Olof Bengtsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dream Fantasy FC.
