Wanderson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Xavier having to interfere. In the 65th minute Isaltino Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Batalhão do Peçanha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Vidal to maneuver through the defense.
