The supporters of Vila Zumbi booed when BRUGGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Cena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fumo Pedrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Fumo Pedrais made a precise shot to the right of Gualterio Trancoso. BRUGGE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the BRUGGE FC defense, Fumo Pedrais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Trancoso. The BRUGGE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Trancoso should have stopped the shot. Gualterio Trancoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Meirelles went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 0-5 became the score in the 29th minute when Fumo Pedrais elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ulysses Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Trancoso having to interfere. Fumo Pedrais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fumo Pedrais in the 36th minute of play. The Vila Zumbi fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Vila Zumbi's Fumo Pedrais looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 41st minute, Ronaldo Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of Gualterio Trancoso. BRUGGE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fumo Pedrais in the 44th minute of play forced BRUGGE FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Vaz in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Trancoso saved BRUGGE FC from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, BRUGGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Vaz came free, but Gualterio Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualterio Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fumo Pedrais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The BRUGGE FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vila Zumbi were winning 0-7.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fumo Pedrais to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Jaramillo during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, BRUGGE FC's Felipe Jaramillo got a free kick in the 51st minute. Fumo Pedrais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gualterio Trancoso made a huge save. Diogo Cosme lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Paulino Roncesvalles missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Abelardo Barreto right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in BRUGGE FC's zone, Fumo Pedrais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Trancoso came out of the goal and Fumo Pedrais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Fumo Pedrais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Fumo Pedrais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Gualterio Trancoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ronaldo Albar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Abelardo Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ronaldo Albar came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the BRUGGE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Albar couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, Dei Henriquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BRUGGE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Zumbi the free kick. A collision led to BRUGGE FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dei Henriquez hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 0-10 when Fumo Pedrais sped through BRUGGE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gualterio Trancoso. 79 minutes into the match, Hílton Vander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gualterio Trancoso, 0-11. Gualterio Trancoso was a little too slow when Fumo Pedrais got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-12. In the 88th minute Fernandão Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandão Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Trancoso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BRUGGE FC's Aquiles Cena got a free kick in the 96th minute. BRUGGE FC's Gualterio Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fumo Pedrais in the 97th minute of play. Vila Zumbi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
