Ruben Tauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Mikeldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Los Muñes de Don Cuco's Baltasar Mikeldi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cirilo Atauri, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Los Muñes de Don Cuco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Eutor should have stopped the shot. Anacleto Eutor came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by DEPORTIVO SJ's Victoriano Criston. But to his dismay, Victoriano Criston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Gaur was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes DEPORTIVO SJ got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Fliz. Fabio Ramone charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Ramone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabio Ramone hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. DEPORTIVO SJ's Fabio Ramone got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Fabio Ramone off the ground. In the 65th match minute, DEPORTIVO SJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Ramone to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Tauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Tino in the 69th minute of the match. The tension between the DEPORTIVO SJ and the Los Muñes de Don Cuco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, DEPORTIVO SJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Gotzon to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, Aquilino Gotzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEPORTIVO SJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Gotzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute Aquilino Gotzon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Eutor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DEPORTIVO SJ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
