A collision led to Duendes Verdes getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Zacarias Turi hit a great ball. In the 5th match minute, Duendes Verdes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Duendes Verdes's zone, Epifanio Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Orlo came out of the goal and Epifanio Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the game, Severiano Raymon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateo Orlo. Severiano Raymon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 11 minutes, Bonifacio Pinto made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Duendes Verdes's Mateo Orlo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Flavio Pio fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Álvarez's protests and gave Flavio Pio a yellow card for diving instead. Flavio Pio hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Alejo Ereinotz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alejo Ereinotz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Deportivo Álvarez protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alejo Ereinotz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 27 played minutes Club Deportivo Álvarez got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Ereinotz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bonifacio Pinto got free with Mateo Orlo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Bartolo Benino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Castel in the 33rd minute of play forced Duendes Verdes's goalkeeper Mateo Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duendes Verdes's Mateo Orlo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Duendes Verdes from getting a goal against them. Bonifacio Pinto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Mateo Orlo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Duendes Verdes's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Huly came free, but Mateo Orlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bartolo Benino to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Duendes Verdes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Duendes Verdes's zone, Gabriel Huly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Orlo came out of the goal and Gabriel Huly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Duendes Verdes's Emanuel Donio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Farias. Samuel Farias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Samuel Farias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Macario in the 61st minute of the match. Mateo Orlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Castel in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Gabriel Huly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomiro Bizi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Bonifacio Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Orlo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Gabriel Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Huly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Orlo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bonifacio Pinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Orlo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Bonifacio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Mateo Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Txanton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Orlo having to make a save. Bonifacio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mateo Orlo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bonifacio Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
