In the 7thth minute of the game Marquinhos Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AM United's Francisco Vilela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Quintino Candeias hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Cordeiro. In the 17th minute, Marquinhos Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DIPLOMATA FC PAB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Marcelo Leite nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Vilela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Hermano Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Marquinhos Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Vilela. AM United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 33 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Caires. Manuel Sales struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Pedrinho Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AM United. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marquinhos Sousa made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Marquinhos Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 65th match minute, AM United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Sales to maneuver through the defense. Marquinhos Sousa hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Samuel Palmeira hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AM United lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
