Herminio Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from László Medgyesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute István Juhász shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herminio Maiorga came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Gyál United's László Medgyesi. But to his dismay, László Medgyesi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when László Medgyesi came free, but Herminio Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. István Juhász scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herminio Maiorga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoltán Ebedli to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Maiorga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Juhász in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when László Medgyesi came free, but Herminio Maiorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC defense, István Juhász kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Maiorga. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Maiorga should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, István Juhász made a precise shot to the right of Herminio Maiorga. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 46 minutes into the game, Gyál United's László Medgyesi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herminio Maiorga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After the first half Gyál United were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when László Medgyesi got free with Herminio Maiorga in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 55 in the game by István Juhász from a close distance when the talented Herminio Maiorga managed to make a qualified save. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's players were relieved. In the 58th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lajos Détári to maneuver through the defense. Sándor Jászberényi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Montes went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Herminio Maiorga got control of the ball when István Juhász tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Eloy Pello made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sándor Jászberényi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Mauro Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Jászberényi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Balázs Berta fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gyál United's protests and gave Balázs Berta a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Róbert Vajda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gyál United's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbert Vajda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Maiorga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, László Medgyesi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gyál United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-8. Gyál United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
