The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbert Vajda got free with Zé Augusto Peixoto in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Medgyesi in the 22nd minute of the match. Márcio Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tibor Kerékgyártó hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Détári in the 30th minute of play. Sándor Jászberényi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo Marques went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Zé Augusto Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbert Vajda in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Trigo. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Válter Martins hit a great ball. Róbert Tamás, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
