After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Dedê Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lindner F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Beto Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Cunha in the 45th minute of play forced Lindner F.C's goalkeeper Guto Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tirense F.C. booed when Lindner F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Dedê Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Arruda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tirense F.C.'s zone, Alfredo Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Arruda came out of the goal and Alfredo Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Dedê Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Enéas Arruda made a huge save. In the 68th minute of the match, Dedê Meireles got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enéas Arruda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Valdo Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tirense F.C.'s protests and gave Valdo Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, one of Tirense F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tirense F.C.. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lindner F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
