An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Lund in the 12th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goalkeeper Villiam Andersson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikhail Guschin. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Denis Ispovednikov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Ispovednikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Villiam Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joacim Trulsson in the 17th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray SK's Danila Melnikov got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Denis Ispovednikov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Villiam Andersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Gert Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Kaiturov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Karlstedt came free, but Stanislav Kaiturov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Sjögren charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anton Sjögren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Anton Sjögren. In the 34th minute, Joacim Trulsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislav Kaiturov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertil Eklund during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Bertil Eklund got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Ispovednikov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arman Månsson hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd match minute, Karlsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joacim Trulsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Ivan Kazachenkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Fomichev kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray SK's Mikhail Guschin got a free kick in the 64th minute. Villiam Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikhail Guschin, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Galatasaray SK's Pavel Fomichev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pavel Fomichev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Galatasaray SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pavel Fomichev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Galatasaray SK! Vilhelm Haström walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 74 minutes, Ivan Kazachenkov made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsborg's Villiam Andersson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wiktor Karlstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Stanislav Kaiturov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Lund in the 93rd minute of the match. The Karlsborg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Karlsborg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
