SANTOS FC- FDFDF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strömsbro IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Eusébio Sanches got a free kick in the 15th minute. Strömsbro IF's Bernt Löfskog shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Walmir Ferreira but with some difficulty. 27 minutes into the match, Ivan Billberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walmir Ferreira. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Billberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Walmir Ferreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivan Billberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. When João Augusto Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANTOS FC- FDFDF's protests and gave João Augusto Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Billberg in the 42nd minute of play forced SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalkeeper Walmir Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Wilson Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

But to his dismay, Ivan Billberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Erik Ingemarsson during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Hermansson in the 80th minute of play forced SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalkeeper Walmir Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Felix Ekrot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
