After taking down the ball on Black Dragons's corner Dietrich Dreher fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Conan Worth quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 75th match minute, Clapham Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Pilgrim to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Freddy Blakewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Blakewell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Black Dragons's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dietrich Dreher in the 87th minute. The corner ended in Dietrich Dreher almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clapham Rovers's Conan Worth did a great save. 96 minutes into the game, Marty Child was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clapham Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Dragons the free kick. Marty Child hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
