With a little luck, AEK FC's Iver Dahlstrøm got control of the ball when Alf Dahlbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asgeir Lam during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AEK FC's Asgeir Lam got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes of play, The Charlatans's Dag Lindkvist made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iver Dahlstrøm was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iver Dahlstrøm was a little too slow when Oscar Tillman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Lindkvist got free with Iver Dahlstrøm in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Tillman kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Hannes Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyrre Holmefjord in the 33rd minute of play. Hannes Hagström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asgeir Lam, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to The Charlatans getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dag Lindkvist hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Berg in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Hagström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hannes Hagström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Berg's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Hannes Hagström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Samuel Almås fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Hagström having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Nils Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannes Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AEK FC's Nils Berg got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Birger Dalheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Charlatans fans cheered their team off the field, for while AEK FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
