In the 18th minute of the match, Franz Kolb got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alessandro Verdecchia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Ermanno Polonia put in a rough tackle. 1. FC Union Weberei:s Raphael Gilli showed great skill when he stopped Eugenio Bozzo:s penalty. Dario Giorgio charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Giorgio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Dario Giorgio got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Gabriele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Gilli was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Raphael Gilli came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Santoryu FC's Dario Giorgio. But to his dismay, Dario Giorgio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Ciro Punta kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Santoryu FC's Alessandro Verdecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Tisserand in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugenio Bozzo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Tisserand in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Verdecchia saved Santoryu FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Eugenio Bozzo put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Raphael Gilli. Alessandro Verdecchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corvinus Weber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes, Maurice Tisserand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1. FC Union Weberei and the Santoryu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Maurice Tisserand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphael Gilli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alvise Iacobucci showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. Raphael Gilli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Giorgio in the 85th minute of play. Alessandro Verdecchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Tisserand in the 87th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Maurice Tisserand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Alessandro Verdecchia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
