In the 10th minute of the match Paolo Fernendo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Verdecchia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Baldomiro Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Verdecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Bertran in the 20th minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Verdecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Santoryu FC's Ermanno Di Giandomenico dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 31 played minutes, Jarana FC's Cris Romero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alessandro Verdecchia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jarana FC reached it. In the 35th minute Baldomiro Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Verdecchia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermanno Di Giandomenico was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Di María in the 51st minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Verdecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Jarana FC were awarded a corner. Paolo Fernendo went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Jarana FC's Miguel Txaran got a free kick in the 60th minute. Santoryu FC's Alessandro Verdecchia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. Alessandro Verdecchia came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Jarana FC's Godofredo Bertran. But to his dismay, Godofredo Bertran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alessandro Verdecchia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomiro Elizardo in the 73rd minute. Santoryu FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Baldomiro Elizardo scored to the left of an out of position Alessandro Verdecchia, making the score, 1-2. 80 minutes into the game, Jarana FC's Baldomiro Elizardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Verdecchia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 84 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Malvezzi. Alessandro Verdecchia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes Baldomiro Elizardo rounded Santoryu FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. The supporters of Jarana FC booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Malvezzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes, Godofredo Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jarana FC and the Santoryu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jarana FC's Godofredo Bertran got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes in the game, Baldomiro Elizardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alessandro Verdecchia having to interfere. The Jarana FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
