The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Jakobe in the 5th minute of play forced Cetatea Suceava's goalkeeper Augustin Irod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Piarres took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augustin Irod. Augustin Irod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Aquiles Jakobe sped through Cetatea Suceava's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Augustin Irod. In the 13th minute Aquiles Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Irod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Marian Bărănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Amado Min was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the match, Aquiles Jakobe notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Cetatea Suceava's Augustin Irod.
