The Last Airbender's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Oğuz Tülek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nolan Bästlein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Seybold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Muhittin Suyurgal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Burkhard Niebler got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sungur Yalçın in the 7th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Nolan Bästlein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wulf-Dieter Schwarze hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The supporters of The Last Airbender booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Seybold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes of play, The Last Airbender's Mehmet Halis Haliç made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nolan Bästlein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Muhittin Suyurgal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Seybold, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The Last Airbender's Muhittin Suyurgal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Seybold in the 28th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Wulf-Dieter Schwarze. Toni Thieltges's late challenge caught a The Last Airbender's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toni Thieltges helped the player get up and apologised. Toni Thieltges kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Nolan Bästlein made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Mehmet Halis Haliç sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburg Fighters's zone, Sungur Yalçın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nolan Bästlein came out of the goal and Sungur Yalçın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Hamburg Fighters were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute Mehmet Halis Haliç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Bästlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nolan Bästlein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sungur Yalçın in the 53rd minute of the match. Ahmet Oğuz Tülek struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Nolan Bästlein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Last Airbender. 56 minutes into the match, The Last Airbender's Aslan Kral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nolan Bästlein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamburg Fighters's Frank Seybold got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 minutes, Mehmet Halis Haliç made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hamburg Fighters's Nolan Bästlein tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Frank Seybold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhittin Suyurgal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when The Last Airbender was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yücel Ubeydullah didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Ahmet Oğuz Tülek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
