Taam Taaensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Vela having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Dhafnospiliá BC got a freekick which was hit by Thalis Kokkalidis. Hipolito Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theocharis Agapidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Themis Karagiorgis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Dhafnospiliá BC booed when Gryffindor Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taam Taaensen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hipolito Vela. Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Chatzichristos in the 28th minute of play forced Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Hipolito Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Evaristo Sabin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Theocharis Agapidis made a precise shot to the right of Hipolito Vela. Gryffindor Lions's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 46 minutes of play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Giorgos Mikros made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipolito Vela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Sabin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hipolito Vela made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Thomas Chatzichristos sent off a good shot on target. Hipolito Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theocharis Agapidis in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Dhafnospiliá BC defense, Evaristo Sabin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikos Kaminaridis. The Dhafnospiliá BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikos Kaminaridis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Dhafnospiliá BC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Loukas Skountouflas hit a great ball. Gryffindor Lions's Anibal Froylan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dhafnospiliá BC. Hipolito Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Mikros in the 70th minute of play. If Gervasio Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Sabin hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Sabin in the 86th minute of play forced Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Kaminaridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gryffindor Lions's Hipolito Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Gryffindor Lions from getting a goal against them. Theocharis Agapidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Hipolito Vela made a huge save.
