The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laerte Barreto went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Batán's Isaac Rojelio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristiano Prata. That made the score 1-1 after 7 minutes of play. 12 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goalkeeper Cristiano Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Rojelio. After some careless play in the S.C.CHUÍ defense, Benedicto Claude kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Prata. The S.C.CHUÍ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Prata should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, AC Batán's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Xavier came free, but Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, AC Batán's Constantino Txomin got a free kick in the 21st minute. Luisão Trigo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft. AC Batán's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, S.C.CHUÍ's Cristiano Prata got control of the ball when Benedicto Claude tried to sneak it across the goal line. AC Batán's Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Xavier in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Claude was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Nildo Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC Batán booed when S.C.CHUÍ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. The penalty shot was made by Luisão Trigo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AC Batán's Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft. 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Paulão da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C.CHUÍ's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulão da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AC Batán's Maximiliano-Exequiel Haagentoft proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save AC Batán from getting a goal against them. S.C.CHUÍ's Cristiano Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Rojelio in the 84th minute of play.
