An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Mel in the 31st minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Bernardo Inautzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Faustino Mel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Inautzi came out of the goal and Faustino Mel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Teofilo Benet hit a great ball. Elpidio Tipi's late challenge caught a SAN MARTIN F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Tipi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Elpidio Tipi got a free kick in the 47th minute.
