Joeri Buys kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Ted Kamps from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Rafa Nóbrega's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leendert Borg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilton Lara went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Pedro Augusto Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Futuros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto Baptista couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Edson Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leendert Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joeri Buys struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Rafa Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albertus FC. In the 28th minute, Fábio Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's Ted Kamps broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Sousa in the 32nd minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Leendert Borg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ted Kamps in the 38th minute. The corner ended in Kurt Hartlief almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Futuros FC's Rafa Nóbrega did a great save. With his leg Rafa Nóbrega managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Albertus FC's Joeri Buys fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 42 minutes, Joeri Buys made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Futuros FC's Rafa Nóbrega tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Lara came free, but Leendert Borg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Futuros FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joeri Buys in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Nóbrega saved Futuros FC from getting behind. After 56 minutes, Gertjan van Damme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albertus FC and the Futuros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Futuros FC booed when Albertus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gertjan van Damme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo Brasil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leendert Borg. Albertus FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Frits Platvoet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rafa Nóbrega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joeri Buys in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafa Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danny Scheer charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Scheer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Danny Scheer hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Salgado came free, but Leendert Borg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joeri Buys in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Nóbrega saved Futuros FC from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Fábio Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafa Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joeri Buys, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Gertjan van Damme hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Leendert Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Salgado in the 95th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
