The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimierz Poniewaz got free with Niculae Andronescu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Czeslaw Jaroszewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Țepeneag, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Grozăvescu. The supporters of Fc Pawonków booed when FC Ruscova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Filipoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niculae Andronescu made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Wincent Kosel sent off a good shot on target. Fc Pawonków's Czeslaw Jaroszewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Bărcăuan in the 31st minute of play. If Alfred Podowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Czeslaw Jaroszewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Țepeneag in the 42nd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Podowski to make the kick off. Niculae Andronescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomil Grocholski, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 60 played minutes Fc Pawonków got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Bycofski. Anton Țepeneag's late challenge caught a Fc Pawonków's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Țepeneag helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes FC Ruscova got a freekick which was hit by Anton Țepeneag. Petru Brânzaș charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petru Brânzaș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niculae Andronescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Podowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The Fc Pawonków players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
