Ingvar Bourdette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportes Santa Cruz. In the 12th minute, Tizian Figini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 13 minutes, Jaime Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Rufo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Vicente Basay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Buschor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Abel Gana sped through FC Rägi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ingvar Bourdette. After 27 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Carlos José Angulo. After a rather tough play, FC Rägi's Heinrich Schwarz got a free kick in the 28th minute. Ingvar Bourdette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Gana in the 31st minute of the match. Jorge Vicente Basay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinrich Schwarz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes of play, FC Rägi's Heinrich Schwarz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Vicente Basay was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC Rägi made a substitution. Maxi Blattmer replaced Harry Catalusci. The wind increased when Heinrich Schwarz made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jaime Rufo made a precise shot to the right of Ingvar Bourdette. FC Rägi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 59 minutes into the match, FC Rägi's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Gana came free, but Ingvar Bourdette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Heinrich Schwarz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jorge Vicente Basay. Heinrich Schwarz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Gian Huerliman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Vicente Basay came out and tried to block the shot, but Gian Huerliman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 64th minute. FC Rägi's Ingvar Bourdette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Rufo in the 67th minute of play. Brian Cornetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jorge Vicente Basay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Abel Gana in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Rägi's goalie prevented a goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jorge Vicente Basay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. Jorge Vicente Basay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinrich Schwarz in the 97th minute of play. After 98 minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maxi Blattmer who took care of the corner kick. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Rägi's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Rägi.
