With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juarês de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sydney Diniz during the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Marquês de Herval's zone, Rayanne Périchon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juarês de Amaral came out of the goal and Rayanne Périchon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rayanne Périchon in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 30th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yazid Danton to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Lyon 69ers's Yazid Danton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juarês de Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yazid Danton in the 36th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bart Larivière was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rayanne Périchon hit a great ball. In the 66th minute Diego Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Larivière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, Yazid Danton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyon 69ers and the Marquês de Herval players grew even worse after the yellow card. Virgílio Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bart Larivière read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The Lyon 69ers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
