Fabrizio Ravanelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brian Hammarberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabrizio Ravanelli ran back to his position shaking his head. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Salvidor Vanegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Hjeltman in the 20th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Christian Vieri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Brian Hammarberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Hjeltman in the 33rd minute of play forced JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's goalkeeper Salvidor Vanegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvidor Vanegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Bäcklin in the 37th minute of play. After 39 played minutes JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC got a freekick which was hit by Quinito Merodio. 42 minutes into the match, George Bäcklin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Salvidor Vanegas. Salvidor Vanegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ralondo Bueres hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 79th minute, Snedspark IF's Marcus Vennerkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salvidor Vanegas. Salvidor Vanegas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 84th minute Peter Brask shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvidor Vanegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Brask could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Salvidor Vanegas made a huge save.
